Early Thursday morning, customers lined up outside several banks in Pampanga, only to find signs announcing temporary closures. The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) confirmed that three of its branches in the province were closed for the day in observance of local holidays, prompting many residents to look for alternative branches for their transactions.

DBP announced that its Clark, Guagua, and San Fernando branches would not operate on December 11, 2025. The bank explained that these areas were observing their respective local holidays, which required the temporary suspension of services. Despite the closures, DBP assured the public that all other branches, along with its Branch Lite Units and the Financial Center, remained open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The advisory served as a reminder for customers—especially workers, entrepreneurs, and pensioners who rely on bank transactions during weekdays—to check branch schedules before visiting. Many residents from neighboring towns were encouraged to visit the nearest open DBP branches or use digital channels for basic transactions where available.

DBP also provided a link to its updated list of open branches to help customers plan their visits. The bank emphasized the importance of staying informed, especially during the holiday season when branch schedules may shift depending on local celebrations.

For concerns or feedback, customers were directed to the DBP Customer Experience Management Department, which operates on weekdays during regular office hours. The bank also shared contact details for the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Financial Consumer Protection Department for clients who may need assistance regarding complaints.

For urgent matters such as lost cards or ATM-related issues, DBP advised the public to use its 24/7 hotlines, including trunk lines, direct lines, and a domestic toll-free number. The bank noted that immediate reporting of lost cards helps ensure customer safety and prevents unauthorized transactions.

DBP thanked the public for their understanding and reminded customers that planning ahead helps avoid delays and inconvenience—especially on days when local holidays may affect banking schedules.
