DBP Closes or Shortens Hours Amid Typhoon Tino in Visayas, Mindanao.

Strong winds and heavy rains from Typhoon Tino have forced several Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) branches in Visayas and Mindanao to close or reduce operating hours on Monday, November 3, 2025. Residents in affected areas are urged to prioritize safety and use digital banking options whenever possible.

DBP confirmed that branches in Borongan, Catbalogan, Claver, Dolores, Maasin, Roxas, San Jose (Dinagat Islands), Siargao, Surigao, and Tacloban are temporarily closed due to inclement weather. Meanwhile, the Ormoc branch is open but with shortened hours from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Other branches operating on reduced hours from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. include Catarman, Tagbilaran, Tubigon, and Ubay. The Bogo branch remains closed today due to operational issues. All remaining DBP branches, BLUs, and the DBP Financial Center continue to operate on regular schedules from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

DBP advised clients to plan banking transactions ahead and use its digital platforms or ATMs, which are fully operational. The bank also provided hotlines for urgent concerns, including lost cards or ATM issues, and encouraged feedback through its Customer Experience Management Department.

Authorities continue to monitor Typhoon Tino, warning of heavy rainfall, flooding, and strong winds that may disrupt travel and daily activities. Banks and residents are reminded to stay updated and follow safety protocols.

By adjusting branch operations, DBP aims to protect both staff and customers while maintaining essential services in safer areas. Residents are encouraged to prioritize safety, avoid unnecessary travel, and use digital banking where possible.
