As strong winds and heavy rains from Super Typhoon Uwan batter parts of Luzon and the Visayas, the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) announced changes to its branch operations for Monday, November 10, 2025. Some branches will close temporarily, while others will shorten banking hours for the safety of staff and customers.
In an update released at 9:37 a.m., LANDBANK said several branches will operate only until 12:00 noon, including those in Anonas, Antipolo, Calamba, Marikina, Lucena, Pasig, and other key areas across Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Meanwhile, dozens of branches across Luzon and the Visayas, including those in Baguio, Batangas, Cavite, Pampanga, and Bicol, will remain closed due to unsafe weather conditions and power interruptions caused by Typhoon Uwan and the lingering effects of the earlier Typhoon Tino.
The bank assured customers that its digital platforms—including the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App, iAccess, and Link.BizPortal—will continue to operate normally, allowing clients to transfer funds, pay bills, and manage accounts without visiting a branch. Over 3,000 LANDBANK ATMs nationwide also remain available for cash withdrawals and other basic transactions.
“Safety is our top priority. We advise our clients to stay indoors and use our online channels while weather conditions remain dangerous,” the bank said in a public advisory.
Typhoon Uwan, locally known as #UwanPH, has brought widespread rainfall and strong winds across Northern and Central Luzon, causing flooding, landslides, and power outages in several communities. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has placed parts of Luzon under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3, with residents warned of continued heavy rains until Tuesday.
In addition to weather-related closures, LANDBANK noted that branches in Borongan, Guiuan, and Can-avid are also closed today in observance of a local holiday. Other branches not listed in the advisory are open under regular banking schedules.
LANDBANK reminded the public to regularly check its official Facebook page and website for real-time updates on branch schedules and operations. It also encouraged customers to keep emergency funds ready and to prioritize safety during extreme weather events.
As government agencies and local governments respond to the storm, LANDBANK continues to coordinate with authorities to restore full banking services in affected areas once weather conditions improve.
