Several clients were met with locked doors on Tuesday morning as three branches of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP)—Pasay, Bogo, and Taguig—were temporarily closed due to operational concerns, the bank confirmed in a public advisory issued on October 21, 2025.

Redirected clients, normal hours in other branches

Customers who usually transact at these branches are advised to go to the DBP Parañaque Branch or any other open Metro Manila branch for their over-the-counter banking needs. DBP assured the public that all other branches, Branch Lite Units (BLUs), and its Financial Center remain open and are ready to serve from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

To avoid confusion or wasted trips, clients are encouraged to check the updated list of open branches through DBP’s official website.

What led to the temporary closure?

While the bank did not provide specific details on the cause of the operational issues, it reassured the public that the closures are temporary and necessary to maintain the quality and security of services.

The bank is working to resolve the issues swiftly to resume full operations in the affected areas.

As public banks play a critical role in serving farmers, public employees, and small business owners—especially in underserved areas—DBP urged clients to stay patient and informed while it resolves internal issues.
