At Philippine Coconut Authority offices nationwide, a sea of purple greeted staff and visitors alike, signaling a celebration of women’s leadership and empowerment. Today, the PCA joins the global community in honoring women through its #PurpleWednesday initiative.
Under the theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the PCA highlighted the qualities of care, wisdom, courage, and dedication that women bring to leadership in the coconut industry. The agency emphasized that women play a vital role not only in managing coconut farms and enterprises but also in driving innovation and supporting local communities.
In collaboration with the Philippine Commission on Women, the PCA reinforced the message that equality and empowerment go hand in hand, encouraging all to recognize and support the contributions of women across sectors.
