The laughter of children and the promise of fresh milk will soon fill a Marikina City school as the National Dairy Authority (NDA) prepares a special feeding program. The activity is part of the agency’s 31st anniversary celebration, themed “Serbisyong May Sustansya,” highlighting its commitment to improving child nutrition.

Today, NDA Administrator Atty. Marcus Antonius T. Andaya met with Marikina City Mayor Hon. Maan Teodoro to discuss the one-day milk feeding event. The program is set to take place at a public school, symbolizing NDA’s goal to strengthen the health of Filipino children through fresh, locally sourced milk.

The meeting also covered the NDA’s Private Sector–Funded Milk Feeding Program. Under this initiative, companies and businesses are encouraged to help fight malnutrition by purchasing and donating milk from local dairy farmers to students. Donations under the program are 100 percent tax-deductible and exempt from donor’s tax, as the Milk Feeding Program is recognized as part of the government’s National Priority Plan.

Officials emphasized that partnerships between the government and private sector are key to promoting child health while supporting local farmers. By providing fresh milk to students, the program not only nurtures young bodies but also strengthens the local dairy industry, creating a sustainable cycle of nutrition and economic growth.

As NDA marks its 31st year, this initiative reflects the agency’s dedication to serving communities with programs that bring tangible benefits. Through collaboration and shared responsibility, the feeding program aims to ensure that more Filipino children have access to nutritious milk, contributing to healthier, stronger futures.
