The 2025 National Livestock and Poultry Summit gave participants more than just discussions and forums—they got a close-up look at modern farming during a special field visit in Sarangani Province.
Delegates toured REvive Croptech, Inc. (RCI), where they saw first-hand how napier grass is grown using advanced farm machines and sustainable methods. The farm is known for supporting corn farmers and promoting integrated farming systems, which combine different crops and livestock to boost productivity.
Engr. Joey Bihag, RCI’s Regional Manager, and Mr. Erwin Saballa, COO of Biotech Farms, joined the tour. They answered questions and explained how RCI’s services help farmers improve their work and income.
This field visit highlighted the success of teamwork among the Department of Agriculture, local governments, and private companies like RCI. Their joint projects aim to make farming more efficient, increase farmers’ incomes, and build stronger communities that can better face challenges.
Such hands-on learning experiences show how new farming techniques are helping Filipino farmers thrive in an ever-changing agricultural landscape.
