Commuters rushing through MRT-3 stations this October have one more reason to smile. Until October 31, 2025, passengers using LANDBANK Visa or Mastercard contactless cards can enjoy free rides and cashback under a special promotion.
The offer, powered by LANDBANK’s Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), allows eligible cardholders to tap their contactless cards at MRT-3 gates and automatically receive cashback for each ride. This initiative is part of the government’s push toward digital payments in public transport and aims to make commuting faster and more convenient.
Eligible cards carry the PayWave or Contactless Payment symbol, a small “WiFi-like” icon located near the EMV chip on the card. The promotion follows guidelines set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and operates under DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-238759, Series of 2025.
Passengers can take advantage of this last-minute offer to save on daily commutes while experiencing the convenience of cashless payments. Whether traveling to work, school, or errands, commuters benefit from faster entry through MRT-3 gates and automatic cashback rewards.
