Parañaque City – In a proud moment for public service, LANDBANK was recognized as one of the top-performing Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) at the 2025 Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) Awards held on December 1 at the Sequoia Hotel, Parañaque City.
The ceremony celebrated LANDBANK’s achievements under both the Performance Evaluation System (PES) and the Governance Scorecard, highlighting its strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and delivering meaningful services to Filipinos.
“Good governance is at the heart of our mission,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz. “These awards reflect the dedication of our entire team in serving communities nationwide and supporting inclusive growth.”
LANDBANK’s subsidiary and foundation also received recognition. LANDBANK Leasing and Finance Corporation (LLFC) earned a Governance Scorecard Award, while the LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) received a PES Award for its notable contributions to rural development and financial inclusion.
The awards ceremony was led by GCG Chair Atty. Marius P. Corpus and Commissioner Atty. Geraldine Marie B. Berberabe-Martinez. Former Senate President Franklin M. Drilon, author of the Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations Governance Act of 2011, delivered an inspiring keynote speech. Finance Undersecretary Rolando G. Tungpalan also joined in honoring the awardees.
Representatives from LANDBANK receiving the awards included President Ortiz, Executive Vice President Leila C. Martin, Senior Vice Presidents Atty. Roderick P. Sacro and Catherine Rowena B. Villanueva, First Vice Presidents Atty. Cesar S. Cabañes and Atty. Nikkolas G. Tolentino, and Vice President Atty. Myra-Lyn S. Peñalosa. LLFC President and CEO Michael P. Arañas accepted the award for the subsidiary.
