Employees at the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) prepared for a different work routine as the country faces a two-day nationwide transport strike on March 26 and 27. To ensure safety and reduce commuting challenges, the agency will implement a work-from-home setup during this period, following guidance from the Department of Agriculture.

Despite the shift, all essential operations remain on schedule. Examinations for the Accredited Responsible Care Officer (ARCO) and Certified Pesticide Applicator (CPA) certifications will continue as planned at the FPA Central Office on March 26. The agency emphasizes that services critical to agriculture and pesticide regulation will not be disrupted.

The work-from-home arrangement aims to balance public service delivery with employee safety amid limited transportation options. FPA encourages staff to stay connected digitally and attend all virtual meetings while observing safety protocols.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring uninterrupted support for farmers, pesticide applicators, and other stakeholders relying on FPA’s services. By adapting to temporary challenges, the agency demonstrates flexibility while maintaining its mandate to promote safe and responsible fertilizer and pesticide practices across the country.

Staff are expected to resume regular office hours on Monday, March 30, 2026. For inquiries or urgent concerns, FPA directs the public to its official channels for assistance.
