In a quiet barangay in Central Luzon, young farmers wake up before dawn, ready to work the fields with hope for a better future. Their energy and determination reflect the heart of a new radio program dedicated to their stories and struggles.
On October 10, 2025, Robert V. Obiano, Regional 4-H Club President for Central Luzon, will be featured on the AgriSaka program. He will talk about the hopes and challenges of young farmers in Central Luzon in the segment titled “Ani ng Pag-asa: Kabataang Magsasaka sa Gitnang Luzon, ATI’ng Kilalanin!”
AgriSaka is a radio show produced in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III. It airs every Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on RW 95.1 FM and is also streamed live on the ATI-Central Luzon official Facebook page.
The program aims to highlight the experiences of the youth involved in agriculture, sharing their successes, innovations, and the vital role they play in securing the country’s food future. Robert Obiano will discuss how young farmers are learning new farming techniques, adopting technology, and finding ways to make farming a more rewarding and sustainable livelihood.
This initiative aligns with the government’s extension efforts during Extension Month 2025, promoting knowledge sharing and empowering the next generation of farmers through the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).
Listeners are encouraged to tune in and support the young farmers shaping the future of agriculture in Central Luzon.
