Filipino farmers and stakeholders are advised that the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) will implement a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement on Friday, March 13, 2026. This measure follows the government’s energy conservation directive under Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026, and aims to reduce electricity use while maintaining essential services.

While most BPI offices will operate remotely, Plant Quarantine Service Stations at all ports of entry will remain open and fully functional. These stations continue to provide uninterrupted services, ensuring that the import and export of plants, seeds, and other agricultural materials are not affected.

The BPI emphasizes that stakeholders can still coordinate with the bureau through official channels during the WFH period. Farmers, traders, and other partners are encouraged to plan submissions and inquiries ahead of time to ensure smooth transactions.

This temporary shift to remote work reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable practices while balancing public service and operational efficiency.
