Today, November 25, marks the National Day for Youth in Climate Action, declared through Proclamation No. 1160 in 2015. The day honors the critical role young Filipinos play in addressing climate change, promoting resilience, and shaping policies that safeguard their future. Across Southeast Asia, the ASEAN Youth in Climate Action and Disaster Resilience Day further strengthens this movement, providing a platform for youth to collaborate, share best practices, and propose policies for a climate-resilient region.
Youth leaders emphasize that climate action is no longer just the responsibility of governments.
