In just seven days, farmers, gardeners, students, and agriculture advocates from across the country will come together in Manila to explore how cities can grow their own food and green their communities.
Pagsibol 2025: Philippine Horticulture and Urban Agriculture Summit will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Manila Prince Hotel. The event is organized by the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) and will also be livestreamed via their official Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
Food from Cities, for Cities
As urban areas continue to expand, the question of where and how to grow food becomes more urgent. Pagsibol 2025 aims to answer that by showcasing the latest ideas and technologies in urban agriculture, horticulture, and sustainable food systems.
The summit is expected to draw a wide range of participants—from city farmers and barangay leaders to researchers, entrepreneurs, and young plant enthusiasts.

According to the Department of Agriculture, the push for “Plant, Plant, Plant 2” continues to promote household and community gardening as part of food resiliency efforts. This is especially important in cities, where space is limited and food access can be disrupted by inflation, disasters, or supply chain issues.
Livestream Access for Everyone
To make the summit more inclusive, BPI will broadcast the entire event on Facebook Live. This allows farmers, students, and interested citizens from far-flung areas to learn and join the conversation without leaving their communities.
