In a move to improve farming tools across the country, engineers, manufacturers, and dealers of power tillers are being called to share their expertise in updating national safety and performance standards. The initiative aims to ensure that these essential machines are reliable, efficient, and suited to the real-world needs of Filipino farmers.
The initial Stakeholder Consultation for the amendment of the Philippine National Standard (PNS) on Power Tillers — Methods of Test — will be held on March 12, 2026, via Google Meet starting at 9:00 a.m. Industry experts, researchers, assemblers, distributors, importers, and exporters are invited to participate and provide technical inputs.
This consultation will allow stakeholders to review the initial draft of the revised standard, discuss methods of testing, and offer practical suggestions to improve machine safety, durability, and overall performance. By including perspectives from all parts of the supply chain, the program ensures that power tillers meet the evolving demands of agriculture while protecting farmers and end-users.
