Under the tropical sun of Palawan, government engineers toured warehouses and project sites, checking every corner to make sure facilities are safe, functional, and ready to serve farmers and communities.

From February 4 to 6, 2026, the National Food Authority (NFA) Palawan Branch hosted a thorough inspection of its completed and ongoing projects. The team included Engr. Joriel P. Cano, Regional Engineer for Region IV; Engr. Glaidel M. Duran from NFA Laguna; Engr. Ian Carlo Acedillo of NFA Oriental Mindoro; and Engr. Roderick John Leuterio of NFA Occidental Mindoro.

The inspection aimed to ensure that warehouses, storage facilities, and other NFA infrastructure meet high standards of quality and safety. These facilities are critical for the smooth operation of NFA programs, from rice procurement and storage to distribution to farmers and local communities.

Officials said the activity reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to maintain reliable infrastructure that supports food security and strengthens services for the public. By inspecting projects on the ground, the NFA ensures that its investments continue to benefit farmers, protect the rice supply, and promote transparency and efficiency in service delivery.

This initiative also aligns with the NFA’s broader goal of providing responsive, accountable, and high-quality services, ensuring that every warehouse and facility is ready to handle the needs of Palawan’s farmers and residents.

Through such measures, the agency continues to demonstrate that safe, well-maintained, and quality infrastructure is not just a target but a promise to every Filipino relying on the country’s rice programs.
