New Lucena, Iloilo — Children’s laughter filled Brgy. Guinobatan as the National Dairy Authority (NDA) Western Visayas team distributed fresh goat’s milk and nutritious food during their Dairy Community Caravan, celebrating the agency’s 31st anniversary.

The event, held as part of NDA’s flagship Milk Feeding Program, also included drawing activities for children, making the day both educational and fun. Residents of all ages, from infants to elders, actively participated, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for programs that promote health and nutrition.

Local government support played a key role in the event’s success. The LGU of New Lucena, led by Mayor Carl Vincent Mondejar, provided land for the upcoming Feed Center, which will serve as the first of its kind in the Visayas, alongside the NDA Western Visayas Office.

The activity was made possible through collaboration with multiple partners, including Iloilo Living Farm, which provided fresh goat’s milk, and Orchard Valley Inc., which supplied sterilized milk and other nutritious products. Brgy. Guinobatan officials also actively assisted, ensuring the program reached those who needed it most.

By combining nutrition, education, and community engagement, NDA Western Visayas demonstrates its commitment to building healthier communities through accessible dairy programs. The initiative also underscores the importance of strong partnerships between national agencies, local governments, and private stakeholders.
