Fresh milk and fresh opportunities await farmers and families as the National Dairy Authority (NDA) joins AgriLink 2025 to push for a stronger local dairy industry.
From October 2 to 4, 2025, the NDA, in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), will be at the ATI Booth at the World Trade Center in Pasay City for the country’s biggest annual agribusiness event.
One of the highlights of the NDA’s participation is the free milk distribution for guests and participants—available while supplies last. This initiative is part of the agency’s effort to promote locally-produced milk and increase public awareness of the benefits of supporting Filipino dairy farmers.
Programs that support local farmers
The NDA booth features various programs that aim to boost milk production, improve dairy farming skills, and raise farmers’ income. Visitors can learn about how the agency supports local cooperatives and individuals who want to engage in dairy farming through training, startup kits, and assistance in breeding and feed management.
According to NDA officials, one of their key goals is to lessen the country’s dependence on imported milk, which currently accounts for around 99% of the national dairy consumption. By helping more farmers enter the dairy sector, the agency hopes to ensure better food security and more livelihood options in rural communities.
The NDA also promotes the Milk Feeding Program, which provides free fresh milk to undernourished school children, while helping sustain the income of local dairy producers.
Spotlight on food security and nutrition
AgriLink 2025 brings together key government agencies, farmers, agripreneurs, researchers, and the private sector to discuss and showcase innovations in agriculture. This year’s theme centers on building a food-secure and prosperous Philippines under the government’s Bagong Pilipinas campaign.
The NDA’s participation shows how dairy can play a major role in improving nutrition, rural livelihood, and sustainable agriculture—all while offering Filipino consumers access to fresh, healthy, and locally made products.
The public is encouraged to visit the ATI Booth during the event to find out more about the NDA’s services and ongoing campaigns.
With more support and awareness, the NDA believes the Philippines can slowly but surely build a self-reliant dairy industry—powered by the hard work of Filipino farmers and supported by everyday consumers.
