Colorful booths, the fresh scent of herbs, and a lively crowd welcomed visitors as the 7th Philippine Natural and Organic Products Expo (PNOPEX) opened its doors today, November 7, at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City.

The three-day event, which runs until November 9, brings together farmers, agripreneurs, and health-conscious consumers from across the country to celebrate and promote natural and organic living. It also marks the official kick-off of the 11th Organic Agriculture Month with the theme “Kabuhayang OA, Kinabukasang OK: Halina at Kumita sa Organikong Agrikultura.”

Organized by the Department of Agriculture’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS) through the National Organic Agriculture Program, the expo aims to highlight the economic opportunities in organic farming and sustainable agribusiness.

Visitors can explore a wide range of locally produced goods—from fresh organic fruits and vegetables to herbal teas, natural skincare, and eco-friendly household products. Several booths also feature success stories from smallholder farmers and cooperatives that have transitioned to organic practices, showing that “going organic” can be both profitable and environment-friendly.

According to the DA, the event is part of the government’s broader push to strengthen the organic agriculture industry, which not only supports rural livelihoods but also promotes healthier food choices and environmental protection. Organic agriculture reduces the use of synthetic fertilizers and chemicals, improves soil health, and helps mitigate the effects of climate change.

Throughout the expo, attendees can join business matching sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations. Experts will discuss best practices in organic farming, certification processes, and marketing strategies for local producers. The goal is to encourage more Filipinos—especially the youth—to venture into agribusiness and recognize its potential as a sustainable source of income.

PNOPEX also serves as a platform for networking among farmers, investors, and consumers who share a common vision: a greener and more prosperous Philippines.

As the event continues through the weekend, the Department of Agriculture invites everyone to support Filipino organic producers and experience the benefits of a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.
