In the heart of Manila, green thumbs and aspiring gardeners will have a chance to learn how to grow their own food. On February 26, 2026, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) will hold a free, hands-on seminar on urban gardening and plant propagation.
The full-day event, running from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will take place at the Crop Research and Production Support Division (CRPSD) Training Room, BPI, San Andres Street, Malate, Manila. Participants will learn practical techniques to grow vegetables, herbs, and other plants even in small urban spaces, making food production both sustainable and accessible.
Interested attendees can register online through a provided link or by scanning the QR code shared in the announcement. The seminar is designed to help participants understand soil preparation, seed propagation, container gardening, and other essential skills to ensure a successful urban garden.
