Many banking clients in Mindanao arrived at their usual DBP branches on Friday morning, only to find the doors closed. These closures, however, are part of the Development Bank of the Philippines’ (DBP) observance of local holidays across several areas.
In a public advisory released today, September 5, 2025, DBP announced the temporary closure of 19 branches and branch-lite units (BLUs) located in key cities and towns in Mindanao, in respect of their respective local holidays.

Meanwhile, all other DBP branches, BLUs, and financial centers remain open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to assist clients with their banking needs.
Clients are encouraged to check the official DBP website for the most updated list of operational branches. Online banking and ATM services remain available for most transactions.
