Early Monday morning, some bank clients arrived expecting to finish quick transactions, only to find the doors of the DBP San Jose Branch closed. For many workers and small business owners, such visits are part of their weekly routine. This time, however, the closure was planned and temporary.
The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has advised the public that its San Jose Branch is temporarily closed today, December 15, 2025, in observance of a local holiday. The bank said the closure is limited to this branch only and is part of its compliance with local government holiday declarations.
DBP assured clients that banking services remain available in other locations. All other DBP branches, Branch Lite Units (BLUs), and the DBP Financial Center nationwide are open today, Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and are ready to serve customers.
The advisory aims to help clients plan their transactions ahead of time, especially those who rely on DBP for salary accounts, loan payments, remittances, and ATM services. DBP is one of the government-owned banks that supports key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and small enterprises, making uninterrupted access to its services important for many Filipinos.
To avoid inconvenience, DBP encouraged clients to check the updated list of open branches through its official website and social media pages. Customers may also use available ATM facilities and digital banking options where applicable.
DBP reminded the public that it operates under the supervision of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which ensures that banks follow rules designed to protect consumers. Clients with concerns, feedback, or complaints may contact the DBP Customer Experience Management Department from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., through email at customerservice@dbp.ph.
For issues that require independent review, clients may also reach the BSP Financial Consumer Protection Department by calling (02) 708-7087 or by sending an email to consumeraffairs@bsp.gov.ph.
For urgent concerns such as lost ATM cards or other ATM-related problems, DBP said its hotlines remain available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Clients may call the trunk line at (02) 8-818-9511 local 2542 or 2580, the direct line at (02) 8-812-6378, or the domestic toll-free number 1-800-10-327-8888.
The bank reminded customers to remain cautious when sharing personal banking information and to transact only through official DBP channels. It also encouraged the public to stay informed through verified announcements to avoid confusion, especially during holidays and special schedules.
As the holiday is observed, DBP reiterated its commitment to continuous service and responsible banking. Normal operations at the San Jose Branch are expected to resume after the local holiday.
