Early Tuesday morning, some customers arrived at the DBP branch in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, only to find its doors closed. For many residents who rely on the bank for daily transactions, the closure was a reminder of how local holidays can affect regular banking schedules.
The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) announced that its Pozorrubio Branch Lite Unit (BLU) is temporarily closed on January 13, 2026, in observance of a local holiday. The advisory was issued to guide clients and help them plan their banking activities ahead of time.
DBP clarified that despite the closure of the Pozorrubio BLU, all other DBP branches, BLUs, and financial centers nationwide remain open on the same day. Regular banking hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be observed in these operating offices to continue serving customers.
The bank encouraged clients in Pozorrubio and nearby towns to visit the nearest open DBP branch for their urgent banking needs. Customers may also check the updated list of open branches through DBP’s official website to avoid inconvenience and unnecessary travel.
DBP is a government-owned financial institution that plays a key role in supporting agriculture, infrastructure, small businesses, and local government projects. Many farmers, cooperatives, and micro-entrepreneurs depend on DBP’s services for loans, savings, and other financial transactions. Because of this, timely advisories are important to help clients manage their schedules and finances.

These services are meant to provide fast assistance, especially for clients who rely heavily on ATM access for cash withdrawals and basic transactions.

DBP said it will resume normal operations at the Pozorrubio BLU after the local holiday. In the meantime, the bank assured customers that alternative channels remain available to meet their banking needs.
