It also highlights the importance of aligning farm practices with national and international food safety standards, especially as demand for clean, traceable, and locally produced food continues to grow.
Standards for safer, stronger agri practices
The PNS on livestock and poultry are created to guide farmers, processors, and traders in following best practices—from raising animals and collecting eggs to processing and handling products. These standards help reduce health risks, minimize spoilage, and improve the quality of goods entering local markets and export chains.
Through this webinar, participants will learn how to apply these standards in real-life farming situations, how to meet regulatory requirements, and how compliance can actually improve livelihood opportunities and open new markets.
The event is also part of the Agri-Fishery R4D Week, a nationwide campaign to boost innovation and research in agriculture and fisheries, and to promote technologies that benefit small farmers and fisherfolk.
Interested professionals are encouraged to register early and take advantage of this free learning opportunity that directly supports safer food, better income, and a stronger agriculture sector.
